car is about to be reposessed. what to expect?

Hello.
I have a car loan with wachovia. I know my car is about to be repo'd. I am very far behind and can no longer afford to make payments. I have not been answering my phone.
Is the car going to just be gone one day? Do they come to the door? I have no idea how this works. Do they involve the police?
I am declaring bankruptcy (ch 7), and plan to include the car, but I have not filed yet because I do not have the funds to pay for a bankruptcy attorney.
Thank you for any input.

You may need to discuss this issue with an attorney. IMO if the car get repossessed before filing bk then then you may be able to include the repossession fees in bk. But if it occurs after filing ch-7 then the lender's rights to collect the fees may survive the discharge.
