I am currently two months past due on a CashCall loan due to my being unemployed. I may have some money coming later in Jan. Should I wait for a settlement offer or should I pay this off when the money comes in?

Since Cashcall is a legal lender there is no way to avoid paying them.

Regarding settling with the lender against paying them in full, the later would definitely look better on your credit report but I may also not overlook the idea of settling for less if I get a good offer.

I have searched the forum for info related to them. It appears that lately that they seem less happy to sue and have been sending out some settlement offers. Maybe I will try to call them on Monday and see if I can get a settlement deal worked out or at least a reduced payment and rate.
