Franklin Collection Services is suing me

Can they do this?? Is it possible for me to request to work with the original comapny??

I have a old hospital bill that they trasnfered to Franklin for collection.

As an answer to your first question, yes, a collection company can sue you over a debt.

For you second question, if the account has been sold by the original creditor to the collection agency, then you possibly can't work with the original creditor anymore. You need to settle the matter with the CA, who is now the lawful owner of the account.

If you have been sued by the collection agency, you mustn't ignore the summons and file a proper reply to it. You can file motion of discovery as well if you have any doubt regarding the debt. Check with your county court clerk for details.
