I went to Consumer Credit Counseling a year ago and they were not able to help, siting that we did not make enough to make a monthly payment. I work full time and my husband is self employed. The IRS is already taking money from my paycheck. We have over 15k of unsecured debt and are getting harrassing calls, letters and starting to get court notices. My husband seems not to be bothered thinks it will go away! What can I do?

First thing you need to do is make your husband aware that these issues will not disappear and he needs to be as proactive as you are with your finances. More often than not you won't have any control as to what the IRS does. With your unsecured debt however it sounds like you are behind several months and my suggestion of your options to choose from is debt settlement Two ways to approach this: The DIY method (which there is quite a bit of advice on this site to do this) or contact the services of a company. If you go by way of a company, do your due diligence and research whomever you go with. Best of luck to you!
