These debt collectors are such lying pieces of crap.... I am filled with such RAGE!! I do not respond to stupid threats. When I had perfect credit and perfect payments they were treating me like crap..

I send them a NOTARIZED cease and desist letter, recorded it at the county, and all of sudden, my interest rates decrease from 30% to 9.99%, but when I spent three months calling them and the calls were going to India, they just told me to shove it.

So guess what, they expect me to do stuff over the phone refuse to do anything in writing, and I do not care about to court, in fact I'd rather go to court.

I am feeling so much rage in dealing with these LIARS!! That try to threaten me, and then when they get stumped, all they can do is just hang up the phone, and I AM THE SCUM BAG?

I dont care, sue me, I really do not CARE!! I am goign to counter sue, and guess who owes more because they are on tape and violated a ridiculous amount of laws, and they get mad at me for siting them on it???

they had the nerve to say, "we do not appreciate what you are doing..." Well duh, at least what I am doing is legal!! SCUMBAGS!!

$49,000 dismissed.. because they are jack s!!

foul language deleted - Jason

you need to take a deep breath and calm down. if they work you up so much then dont deal with them over the phone - only in writing. this kind of behaviour isnt good for your health. let them shoot themselves in the foot, but getting worked up about it isnt going to help you make good decisions.

I think I've already registered, but can not log in for some reason, so I posted unregistered. I will figure it out today and hopefully be able to post again. I do not know if I was registered before, but at least I had a name other than unregistered.

And you are right, this is not good for my health. Despite working out and eating healthy, my blood pressure is in the stroke range, and I had a huge head ache. My hubby said the same thing, he programmed our phones so I would not have to deal with them anymore. (googlevoice is a gem)

The good news is, even though I was shaking inside, I was calm on the outside, and there is where the supposed debt collectors/attorneys, get really upset and start breaking laws. But is infuriating my husband and me, because they disrupt my client flow call base, since they autodial repeatedly every ten minutes. Then when you do finally talk to them, its nothing but their lies and nonsense. I have it all on tape, and my attorney does cartwheels listening to the tapes, and can not beleive how unbeleivabley stupid they are. Thats how I got the $50,000 dismissed. (there is more though)

Still, its all very emotionally draining, to have your rights violated 10 hours out of the working day.

If it helps, I used the foul mouthed version of donkey I beleive. Really, thats as foul as I get, at least in writing... I was surprised that it got deleted, I would've used and #@$ or something. Really.

If you are old enough to have legal debt, you should be able to say they word "donkey" right?

Notarizing does nothing for a cease and desist and I have never heard of recording it with the county. C&D should be sent CMRRR.

Are you even in collections? CA's do not have the ability to lower interest rates as a general rule. Sounds more like the creditor calling you than a CA.

Soap lady,

its a process called Notary Protest. I've never heard of it either, until an attorny told me that Notary Protest is a method of dealing with legal disputes, without an attorny, since a lot of people can not afford one.

Yes, the account went to collections.. I responded with a notarized letter, validation of debt letter, along with siting all the violations. I told them that only responses through the third party notary would be accepted.

It worked like a charm..

the reason being, is that I am creating a case BEFORE it goes to court.

the advanta called and he was very mad and harrassing me about how he did not like my letter, (well duh) and how he was going to MAKE ME pay.. I got it all on tape.

then, thats when the magic offers started.

They did not respond so then I issued a "notice of non response"

So its on record, that I sent a validation letter, and they did not respond.

It went to collections, and then advanta called, and then collections sent ANOTHER dunning letter, with the same account number (trying to reactivate the debt they did not validate) but my attorny told me to ignore it, since I already sent a debt validation letter.

I am so happy that I found out about notary protest. I di dnot know about. Its not on any of the boards or anything, and its really good at creating a case for non performance on the part of the debt collector. They are so disorganized and sloppy, and get their results over harrassing people over the phone.
