According to the FDCPA section 805(a)(1), If the collector calls even after being informed that it is inconvenient for the debtor to receive calls on Sundays then it is illegal.
Also, the collector's first call on the day of your inconvenience is not a violation, but a repetition would be.
The above stated rules apply to the collector. The original creditor, however, doesn't have to follow these.
