Ok, Ive got probably a normal problem, but I dont know what to do next. I was a truck driver from 99-09, I made very good income and always was capable of paying my bills. I think it was in 07 I replaced both my laptop which I used for work and my desktop at home, aproximate value for both around 1500$, I had had a good credit and good payment record with them for the entire time I have been with them.
In feb09 my health deteriorated to the point I could not legaly drive trucks, I had diabetes, severe hypertension and sleep apnea to the point I was experiencing major concentration and judgement problems. Needless to say, my job was gone, and with it nearly 50k a year in income. We started falling behind on bills, medicaly I am not supposed to drive because I could fall asleep at the wheel and that makes it impossible to find gainful employment.
By april, we were wiped out. We filed for full bankruptcy, we lost the house and only Best Buy challenged it and was left out of the bankruptcy. In august 09 the court completed bankruptcy case and it was granted, we lost the house and all of the included debt from other credit agencies. We have not heard from BB untill now.
We recieved a letter today saying "We have been informed that your case has been discharged. Please be advised that our client is secured by a purchase money security interest in consumer goods. If you intend to volluntarily surrender the collateral, please provide the information requested below"
We still have 1 of the systems, the other had been sold when we never heard from anyone after discharge of bankruptcy. I checked the values of the equipment and even a sale now of it would bring less than 800$.

1. What can they do?
2. what can I do?

I am willing to return the system remaining and pay a reasonable value for the one left, or if they let me keep the system I have left, make payments for a fixed amount of time. Is there any chance I could offer to pay 750$ over a 10 month period and keep what I have left? thats roughly half the bill I owe, but with next to no income, and im fighting for disability, even unemployment is running out. I think I could handle that amount, but I cant pay the full bill off. Ideas?
