How do I know my accnt is actually paid off after settlement?

I just made my final payment of a settlement to bofa using an automatically scheduled payment. I no longer see the CC account listed under 'my accounts' on their website.
Do they send you a final letter stating that the account has been paid? Can I tell by looking at my credit report?

not sure on a letter stating paid in full, however you can look
not sure on a letter stating paid in full, however you can look at your credit after it has been updated should say on there depending on how it was settled what was agreed on etc... either paidoff 0 balance or settlement excepted on the account

I'm not sure but if you get a PIF in writing you should be able to submit that to the CRA's and ask it to be updated.
