Hello
I am being threatned by the company payday loan yes - I went to see my lawyer and i am trying to fill bankruptcy as I have no income because I lost my job because of a medical condition, I tried to work with them and allow them to take a debit off my card because my taxes were supposed to come in and be direct deposited on my card - well there has been a delay so I called them and they said they could not stop the payment process and they have told me I can't file bankruptcy on this kind of debt - Is this true??? And if it is not my lawyer needs there address - which they will not give me ?? how can I track them down - Please help me - I borrowed 350.00 I have paid 2 payments back of 105.00 they are now going to sue me for over 900.00 ??? they have no mercy - Please advise.
Thanks
Nancy

Internet lending is illegal in VA. So your lender is definitely blowing smoke. You're only obligated to repay the principal amount to the illegal lender. Check out more about Payday loan Yes in the following threads.

this is an illegal pdl that can't and won't do anything except call and threaten.you can include them in you BK petition.being illegal whatever they call a contract is not worth the paper it's printed on.as far as an address you can search them in the bar top right.there are several threads regarding this place.an address should be on one of them.just do not speak to them again until you file.it's not worth it to you.

i took a payday loan with ace cash on line and defaulted on paying back, this was 3-4 months ago. i was first contacted by a person from ace who was very intimidating, rude and in a very threathing way informed i needed to pay back or i would have to face the consequenses, i tried to make payment arrangements but he refused. since i last talked to him he has call my work demanded to speak to my supervisors and harrased anyone and everyone that gets to speak to him, he has called my sister in law and told her that i would go to jail and that they could do something to my license, he gave her a list of names of family members that are related to her and me and have nothing to do with my debt purpose? only thing i can think of is that he was trying to intimidate her. well now this person tells me he i sno longer in charge of my case. and have been contacted by another agent who is supposedly sending someone to my work place for what i dont know? what can i do i have started to make payments but they are telling me that i have to payup in full or i will go to jail for hot checks, this was an online transaction.

You can not go to jail for a debt... It is not a crime to be poor. The worst case is if they are even legal (which 99.99% are not) is they sue you for the debt and you get to go to court. So keep records of everything. You need to make sure you file complaints with the BBB, Attorney General office, Depart of Corporations, FTC and it wont hurt to write letters to anyone in the media, senators, ect...
