I had a credit card on all three of my reports, that was paid off years ago.I disputed it with one of the bureaus, but have not contacted the other two.I checked the other two today and they had also taken it off.Do they let the others know of changes? :?:

It is not mandatory for the national credit bureaus to share information about the consumers' file. Thus, it is better to order for a copy from each of them. Since each of the reports might have specific errors, after you have placed a dispute on the item, it is not necessary that the file will be updated with the other bureaus as well.

Only your creditors or other information providers provide information about your file. It is not necessary for them also to report information to all the three bureaus.

Thanks John,
I was just wondering, because it was on all three, but I had not sent a dispute to the other two yet,one lets you do it online and I didnt have time yet to mail the other two.I received an email with the update and it was removed, then when I checked my other reports,it was gone there also.I quess this saves me the trouble of having to sent them a letter.
Thanks again.
