Have a question about US Bank business cards tied to our US Bank personal accounts - we have successfully negotiated settlements on four credit cards so far (another story), but these business cards are a weird one. Apparently in the fine print on the card agreement they can take funds directly from our accounts after 90 days late or something like that. We intend to close our accounts with them just so we can pressure them into some sort of a settlement. Not sure if we even can do that, per the fine print, etc. They already made forcible withdrawals in December, to even overdraw the account. I brought it back up to be balanced but I'm wondering how long they would have let it be overdrawn if I did nothing?

Does anyone have experience with this?

Well, this often happens when you have credit cards and saving account with the same bank. The bank tries to withdraw money from the account whenever it becomes due on the card even without an authorization from the customer.

Talk to the manager to close the account and also recheck the card agreement if you have signed for automatic withdrawals.
