Motion to vacate a judgement

A judgement has been entered against me because I did not know that I had 30 days to reply to the court when the complaint was filed against me. At this point it would cost me more to get a lawyer and fight this. The plaintiff also has filed a lien against me. If I settle with them and have them file to vacate the judgement with prejudice, is this still going to have an adverse effect on my credit?
i think you're going to have a hard time getting them to vacate
i think you're going to have a hard time getting them to vacate the judgment. you have no meritorious defense as to having the judgment vacated, and they have no motivation to do it themselves. collections firm typically will not vacate a judgment for a payment, and why would they? they went through the trouble of obtaining a judgment, and vacating it will do absolutely NOTHING for them, even if its paid by then.
which isnt to say it doesnt happen, just very unlikely.

if you were served properly then as the guest above stated.getting the judgement vacated will be next to impossible.also they are in an advantageous position.has the plaintiff or their lawyer contacted you yet about payment?if not i would contact them and bounce your proposal off of them.see what they say.
