Received a phone call on my work phone and cell phone from 702-835-8602. The only information I can find on this number is that it is located in Nevada; probably Las Vegas. What is weird is when I called the number back, it delivers a sales pitch about that I have been approved for a credit card, cash advances, etc. It states to leave your name and phone number, but then it says the mailbox is unable to take message.

I am on a "Do Not Call List" and want to rack it to them for calling me. Any ideas on how to do this?

I defenitely do no want whatever they are selling, etc.

Call the number 1-888-5-OPTOUT (1-888-567-8688) and have your name removed from the direct marketing list. Mention your full name, current address and the telephone number on which you want to enable this feature. You can also contact each of the credit bureaus for opting out from the pre approved credit marketing offers.

You can send your written request to the DMA for enabling this feature on your phone as well as the mailing address.

Read the FTC website and get important information on how to avoid the unsolicited mails, telemarketing and emails

Here is a sample format published in the FTC website and enable the Opt Out feature.

I have received this call as well, three days in a row. Someone email me at and let me know if you find out exactly where they are calling from and how to reach a live company!

The company that is calling everyone is called CreditPlus Rewards. They offer an online credit card that is allowed to make merchant purchases online. Most of these cards require a bank account, as they will deduct your purchases automatically.

Their address is:

505 E. Windmill Lane #1B-201
Las Vegas, NV 89123

Toll-free 800# is 800-975-5642

They also mention of a credit card (MasterCard) when you return the phone call on your caller ID 702-835-8602.

You can view their website for more information at creditplusrewards.com, as the BBB site has just started a new file on this company.

Regards-
Mike

I have been receiving calls from this number, and the automated system keeps delivering a message, and then says the mail box to leave messages on is full. Caller ID says it is from The Selling Source. When I called the number, back into recorded information loop. I have been called sevral times a day by the auto system. I also am listed on the National DNC List. I am about to report this as abuse to Qwest.

DPL,

Call 1-888-5-OPTOUT (1-888-567-8688) and have your name removed from the direct marketing list. You can also contact the three national bureaus and enable Opt Out feature in your credit report.

The salesman might be trying to sell some credit to you. You can contact the Direct Marketing Association at the following address:

Myndee, can you tell us what type of calls are they related with? If they are marketing calls for some credit, you can contact the Direct Marketing Association at the address given above. You can also contact the three national credit bureaus and enable the Opt Out feature in your credit file.

I think that is the number that I have seen for a program called CreditPlusRewards. They offer an online credit card that can be used to make purchases at certain online merchants. I have read that they deduct purchases automatically from your bank account. I would recommend that you call to have your name removed from the direct marketing list at 1-888-5-OPTOUT (1-888-567-8688).

Darwin,

It seems that you are trying to reach to some other company that has taken money from your account. This is debt consolidation Care. The service offered by this site is free. Try to locate which company withdrew money from your checking account. If you name the company, members of this forum can help you to find it out. Keep us posted.

tweetiejoy_21,

How they got your banking information? Did you give it to them? Anyway, contact your bank ASAP and explain the situation. This company might hit your account in future too. So block them first of all. Your bank might help you get the amount reversed also.

File complaint against them with BBB, FTC. Also contact Consumer Protection Office of your state. Keep us posted.

My suggestion would be to explain the situation to your bank and request them to dispute the debit with creditplusrewards. If the company fails to verify the item, it should be credited back to your account. You can take the legal help if the company is not responding to your dispute.
