PayDay loan and unemployed

Someone might have posted a similar question like this, but I could not find any info on it. I took out 2 payday loans about 3-4 months ago. I was employed at the time and about a month and a half ago, I was laid off. I am frantically searching for a new job, but nothing yet. The payday loan companies have NO sympathy that I am just now getting unemployment and I just cannot afford to pay anything back on these loans. One of which was through Loan Shop Online, knowing now they are illegal, I have sent a cease and desist letter to them asking them to quit harassing me and letting them know AGAIN I am umeployed. Is there anything I can do to help myself out of this situation and get them to stop bugging me?
