Payday Loan HELP

I live in the state of Texas and have multiple internet payday loans. I wanted to find out if all the loans are illegal in the state of Texas. The loans are with the following companies.

My Cash Now
Zip 19
United Cash Loans
US Fast Cash
Check n Go
Cashnet USA

I have closed my bank account so that they cannot debit anymore money from my account.

For one of the companies I have paid more than what the principal was on the loan. Could someone send a template for a letter asking that they mark my account as paid in full.

I need to find out the addresses for these companies so that I can send cease and desist letters.

well check-n-go,and cashnet usa are legal so you will have to contact them,and find out how much more you owe.then you can work out a payment arrangement.the others are illegal,but if you haven't paid the principle in fees we do advocate paying back the amount borrowed.you can go to the do-it-yourself section top right.it should have a template letter.you can customize it to your needs.

Below contains a link to the licensee data base for payday lenders, if they aren't listed there than they aren't legal in your state, I will give you a link later which will help you on how to deal with illegal lenders should you find some of yours are legal (I'm pretty sure some of them aren't)

Next, TX is known to have lenders known as CSO's or Credit Services Organization is defined by the Texas Credit Services Organization Act (Section 393 of the Texas Finance Code), please bear in mind the CSO or Credit Services Organization model (unfortunately) IS NO LICENSING required by the state! CSO's are required to "Register" with the Secretary of State, they are NOT licensed, and their fees ARE NOT REGULATED.

If you CLICK HERE you can search the Credit Services Organization data base, but keep in mind that some lenders use dba names.

What if I have paid over the principal to one of these companies. For example, one of loans was for $800.00 and I have already paid $1000.00. Will I still need to keep paying?


If they aren't licensed, then all you would owe them is the amount you borrowed to begin with, less any payments you have already made. This applies only to the unlicensed lenders. Read the link I gave you on how to deal with illegal lenders.
