I just got a letter in the mail that I have judement and need to pay in full or call them to make payments on paycheck before taxes. What do I do? I have this account in debt sttlement company and they said after 6 months they can work on a judgement. What do I do until then?

its up to you what to do. i can tell you that the company wont care about your debt settlement companies promises of what it will do 6 months from now. they will proceed to do whats in their powers to enforce the judgment. hard to give you an answer on what to do here as im sure you've got a lot of money tied up with your DC company.

I know you are in a mess as you don???t know what to do. As far as judgment is concerned, it is a procedure which is used during civil litigation to unhesitatingly dispose a case without trial. Judgment is used if there is no dispute as to the material facts of the case.

Still I would suggest you to put up the issue and negotiate with your debt settlement company to resolve the matter at the earliest possible.

kelley you need to keep in mind that MOST collections letters say that.
given it could be a legal doc. if it is from a lawfirm in your home state.
you need to take a careful look at the letter though!

it sounds like a judgement was put againist you, i would research for verify, if legit try to settle otherwise the 25% they are talking about if they have judgement can garnish paychecks for the 25% before they take taxes so basically you will see about half your income depending on taxes bracket find out right away and good luck
