My story starts when I was in college. I am the only son of my parents. They dreamt a lot about me and planned so many things for my future. They managed some savings even so that I can carry on with higher studies. They wanted me to study in any nearby college with the intention that I would be living at home. It would be cost savings too. But I started to feel the call of outer world at that time. I was so much hungry for independence and I applied some institutions of other states. I had a good academic background, so I was selected easily. Then we found that our fund was not sufficient for my studies.

So I applied for student loan. It could not bridge between the actual expense and the loan received. So my parents took some private loans. They are very good money managers, which I realized later. Anyway, so I flew to the new city.

It was such a great feeling. Lots of new faces around, so many places to see I just lost myself. I used to be busy with my friends in such a way that I used to forget calling my parents sometimes. That was for the first time I was handling my finance and I fell in love with the handsome look of plastic money. It was so easily available. Card issuers arranged some camps in our college campus quite often. They used to organize some events and offered gifts too. They came up with discounts and cost saving schemes every time.

Now I sense how stupid I was at that time. I applied for some and got it approved. I felt very proud while shopping with 4 credit cards. I did not understand I was going deeper into debt. I had to drop one semester due to bad health that added some more on our debt load. When I ultimately completed my study found myself neck deep in debts.

Student loans had the forbearance period. But credit card companies started calling me like any thing. Gradually the accounts went to collection and collection agency made our lives hell. They called our home after 10.00 o'clock in the night. Some lady with some heavy accent used to call everyday and threatened of an arrest. We forgot to laugh even.

My student loans were consolidated and my parents tried hard to help me pay off my student loans anyhow. At that time I thought to consolidate my credit card debts too. Now I cannot remember how I found this site. However, that was the turning point in my life. When I went through this forum I understood how much illegal techniques collection agencies adopted. Then I stood strong to fight the battle.

I placed all my credit card accounts under consolidation program. Whenever I receive collection calls I strongly tell them to speak with my consultant. My consultant is very cooperative. And as a result…the collection calls have been stopped; the accounts are getting paid off. I am now in a well-paid job. Life is sweet again. I am thankful to debt consolidation Care; it has returned my life back…now it is running perfect. :D

I too am glad I found this site. It has showed me that I don't have to be bullied by the collection agencies. I now know the dos and don'ts of the collection industry. The smartest thing I did was consolidate all our cards and payday loans. Now I can answer the phone or switch over to another call and not have to worry about who is on the other end. Now thats a good feeling. :D Be an even better feeling once the colsolidation period is over and everything is paid off. :D

Main thing I am seeing in this site is we all have made mistakes and want to make our lives better. I found this forum reaching out for advise on dealing with payday loan co's and am getting much more out of it.
