I sent a C&D to soniccash and various other companies via mail and e-mail back on February 4th. All but soniccash, have agreed to the terms of correspondence via mail or e-mail. However, soniccash keeps calling my cell every 4 minutes. I answered the first call I ever got and told them they can contact me via e-mail or mail, yet I am still getting about 15-30 calls a day.

What should I do?

i would contact your cell provider and see about getting the number blocked.you see sonic is not located in this country, and couldn't care less about the law.

Are you answering these calls? All they're trying to do is break you down, ignore them completely, don't answer any of them, and if you do happen to answer them hang up without saying a word, they will tire of talking to thin air faster rather then someone to argue with. You also need to contact your cell phone provider like Paul suggested. This happened to me once and my provider changed my number for me. They will have a record of your incoming calls so there is proof that you're being called 30 times a day, I am sure under those circumstances your provider will change your number at no charge.

No, I am not answering the calls. I answered the first to state that they can contact me via mail or e-mail as per my correspondence that I sent to them then hung up, but these guys are just insistent. Last Friday alone, I had 39 missed calls from these guys and that doesn't include the time I turned off my cell. It's starting to get ridiculous. I've done complaints to the IC3, BBB, AG of CA, Dept of Corps, and the FTC. Will making an additional complaint even help? I e-mailed them again just now forwarding my original C&D, and followed up telling them to stop calling me.

They will give up sooner or later, stay strong. If it were me, I would have my cell phone number changed.

I would also advise that you contact The Department of Homeland Security, Secret Service Agent Doug Zloto 1-989-497-0580. SonicCash.net (located in India) has been creating a serious problem for customers and violating Trademark's of SonicCash.com. They have been working to try to stop these individuals. SonicCash.COM will not harass its customers and uses standard practices, such as e-mail, or phone calls only for the purpose of setting up payment arrangements and is very reasonable when working with customers.

Excuse me, Sonic.com, but with all due respect, how long has it been since you drank the Kool-aide? My experience with your company was nothing like you describe--in fact, I was told in no uncertain terms that not only did Sonic not do payment arrangements, they would call my employer to invoke the voluntary wage assignment! It was either pay up or get garnished. I was also called at all hours by your "friendly" collectors.
My company did not honor the wage assignment and I did pay you off, but it was a nightmare.

Unfortunately, Sonic.com may be telling a partial truth. There is a scam going on where an Indian company bought old payday loan applications and is using the information in them to trick people into thinking they are really collecting on a loan. They usually use a generic name like "Payday Advance" as the company they are calling for and threaten criminal prosecution. Then, when the victim says something like, "Do you mean the loan I got from ABC?" they have you even deeper. I'm no fan the real Sonic, and I know from bitter experience that their collectors are nowhere near the professionals that Sonic.com describes, but everyone should be aware of the scam too.
