i've read about it, but this is my first acual call i've recieved. they called from a private #. the message they left was weird. i know its b.s. but i'm determined to not let them get away with it. here is a run down on the message.

he said this is Officer Jack Anderson and i need you to return this call immediatly to 206-801-5293. in regards to the legal action thats been filed against your name and social security number. then he mumbled and said somthing about signing a warrant. it was hard to make out but he emphasized the warrant part. then said again this is Officer Jack Anderson.

the guy had a strong accent, but it wasnt the india people because i get those messages too. i know its just a trick to scare people into paying whatever the debit is. i know police officers are not "debt collectors". and the area code 206 i believe is seattle washington. i live in arizona. never been to washinton so why would somone file a legal suit against me there. i'm going to do more research and i'll let everyone know anymore information i find on whoever this is.

i would try to make an exact copy of that message, and play it for not only your AG but the washington AG.that person can be arrested themselves for impersonating a police officer, and you have the proof.use it.

I reported them to the FBI when they bothered me.. they said they were from the NY courts, i contacted them too and my state's usless attorney general's office. I encourage everyone to report them.. in my case they said they cannot trace the call in anyway since they spoof their number and give out fake ones but you never know.
