Employment status and credit card company

Can my credit card companies find out current employment status if employment has yet to be listed in tax filing nor used on any applications? And if so, how?

Well, I would also like to agree with Dantheman.
Anybody having a " legitimate business need ", can get an access to your credit report but as far as my knowledge is concerned, your creditors might not be able to figure out the employment status so vividly.
