The fastest way to get that removed in your case would be to dispute it with the credit bureau. Before you do, you should check all three of your credit reports, it may be on more than one.
You can dispute with the credit bureaus by calling them, writing a letter to them, or through their website. One thing to know--many people do not know this, but do NOT dispute credit accounts through their website, because as part of their terms of service that you must agree to, they require that you agree to hold them harmless for any wrongdoing. That takes away some of your rights in case they dont follow the law.
I would call them and dispute the items over the phone, tell them that reason for the dispute is that the account is way past the applicable reporting time. They will notify the creditor and give them 30 days to respond. If LVNV verifies the debt as valid, then I would go after them for their FDCPA and FCRA violations. I would then file a lawsuit because they will owe you some money.
