I currently have 14K with Chase, 6K with BofA and 13k with credit one (the biggest mistake was that took out a line of credit with them at 17.99%)...anyway that used to be almost 30k and i've lowered it. In general I havent been late on a payment, but paying all this is killing me. Anything I make goes straight there. I'm really trying, and its consumed me emotionally and physically. I have nothing saved. Problem is my job (contract) ends in a month. Can i call to settle without being late on payments? I know a friend can lend me 5k, and hopefully my parents as well, so if I offer 5k to chase will they accept? Any advice will help thanks. I want to be as debt free as possible.

You actually can be empowered to settle those unsecured accounts in the next 12 to 18 months for literally ten to fifteen cents on the dollar. Also as part of the process your credit will be restored even though it will be slightly impaired during the process. Surely being out of debt entirely with a clean slate is much better than struggling for the next four or five years to pay it off, while impairing your modest lifestyle.

Just google "credit card debt resolution" or "zero credit card debt", do your research and take a solid alternative route to being debt free in one third of the time.
