Date of Citation

I have never heard from Cach LLC via phone or letter, that I had a debt. On Feruary 16,2010 I was out of town working. When I returned home my roomate had a Citation with my mail. He said a lady rang the door bell. He talked through the speaker, inquiring who she was, and she asked are you Tommy. she would not identify who she was. So He did not identify himself either. She said I have some papers for you. He said he did not know her so leave them on the table and do you know you are on posted private property? He then found the papers in the yard the next day. Since he did not sign for any paperork, nor did I, what date do I go by, the date on the paperwork... or when they were found in the yard? Thanks, Tommy
