CCCS - They're terminating my DMP
Date: Tue, 03/09/2010 - 06:45
Have been with them since 2006, this past year I have been on minimum payments due to ill health. Went on 1/2 pay then no pay. Went back to work the end of October but didn't inform CCCS (my first normal pay was Dec) and I had found it so hard since my pay was cut. In Jan I had to start treatment again which meant I was back on no pay for my sick leave, I've been lucky at the moment I have been managing 2 days a week.
I'll cut to the chase now.
Today i received a letter from the CCCS saying that because they have not heard from me to do my yearly review (due in March) they won't manage my plan anymore, they'll pay my payments but won't deal with the creditors. My question is should I go for this or go my own way - as a family member has offered to help me with pay a couple off. I couldn't pay off everyone but there is a CCJ which I wondered about. I know the CCCS don't like f & F's so I wondered if this (and don't laugh) was a sign for me to go my own way but I'm scared. Your views and experience would really be appreciated. Thank you

Honestly, the choice is really yours. If you think you would be able to do it yourself, you may consider doing so. This way you would be able to save the fees that you otherwise would have to pay to the debt management company.
