being sued for a payday loan that I never receieved

Hello Everyone! My fiancee has been getting phone calls from some arab guy supposebly from a pay day place. He said we owed them money from a loan he was supposed to take out. We have never receieved a loan actually every time we applied for one we got denied. But they have our information. I dont know what to do because they said the loan that was taken out was 300-500 and then said if we pay them 1,000 or so they wont take him to court but if he dont they will take him to court and he will have to pay over 5,000.00. I have never receieved a loan I think they trying to screw us. If anyone knows what I can do please help us.

They are surely blowing smokes. If they are illegal they can't sue you, save taking money from you. Anyway, you may check your bank statements to see if you have ever received any fund from an unknown source, which you didn't recognise at that time.
