Anybody have any luck actually getting a refund from an internet PDL (illegal in KY) after you have paid them waaaay more than the principal? If so, how did you go about it?

Perhaps I could've pushed harder but after being in PDL Hell for SO long, I'm SO glad to be out of it, as mpatt says, that's payment enough. Not sweating every payday because I know all of those debits will be taken out of my account, not worrying about how I'll make my regular bills (rent, utilities, etc), yes, freedom is a gladsome thing!

I did get one from one of them... I overpaid Impact Cash by almost $1700 and they offered a refund of $370 (which included a "nasty" PIF but PIF none the less) The biggest issue was that they continued to tell me that the couldn't send out a paper check as they were "online only" and wanted my creditcard or checking acct info. We went back and forth for about a month and then i got a pre-paid debit card with like a balance of $5 on it and once they deposited the money to it I went to a cash machine and took it all out so the balance on the card was at $1. (Now it's 0 since apparently there was a fee involved) I doubt I will get any more because the ones that I overpaid the most aren't the ones that are continuously bothering me. It's the other ones that even though I overpaid them -- they claim I still owe.

That was a good idea! I was thinking that what happens if I'm lucky enough to get a company who will give me a refund...they would probably want an account number.

I got a refund from cashspot.com. It was for $350. I had already paid the loan in full. They werent taking money from me. I wrote the letter and to my surprise the mailed me a check. I didnt even know how much I overpaid by. It was probably the $350 as I tired to pay these criminals off as quickly as I could. No one else sent me a refund though. I still get many many of those annoying calls but oh well, my money is now my money. Just dont answer the phone......

To Whom It may Concern,

I have successfully paid off 2 loans I had gotten from your company. I never missed a payment. It has come to my attention that these loans are illegal in the state of New York. The extremely high interest rates I were charged are also illegal. A report has been filed with the New York State Attorney General's office. I would like to have any overpayment I have made to be refunded to me in the form of a cashier's check sent to my address on record. I followed the rules on my end, now I would appreciate you do the same. I would appreciate it if you acted upon this matter as soon as possible.
