By the way, the letter was on official letterhead, that the bank gave me when I asked for it, so I didn't think it was a big deal. The woman on the phone said she would turn it in to the Loss Prevention Dept, who would investigate fraud. Please, any response good or bad is appreciated!
Well of course you are in trouble. You can't just write letters
Well of course you are in trouble. You can't just write letters as though you were the bank. At the very least the bank should close your account and report you to chexsystems that could prevent you from ever opening up an account with another bank. At the most they can have you arrested for bank fraud - but highly unlikely since they did not have any loss of funds in your forgery.

so basically you bounced some checks and were late with your landlord,so you decided to try and cheat them out of what is rightfully theirs.well besides the bank fraud thing once your landlord figures it out they can have you evicted.just one question.what were you thinking?

No I am not kidding, and I wish I'd never done it to begin with. I live in a high end community and if you are even 1 day late there is a 20% late fee issued, which for me is $250.00. In addition to that, $25 a day, for almost 15 days.....it adds up. I fibbed and said my bank account had been drained from fraudulent charges, so that is what caused the check to bounce, and they were cool with it, and let me out of the charges. They said just have your bank write something up that we can show our corporate office. I thought nothing of it at the time, and even consulted many people on the matter. That particular bank has been in the news all week because almost 50% of their members have had their accounts hacked in the last week, due to a massive takeover of the branch. We all just got new bank cards in the mail, and I guess someone got ahold of the numbers, and drained everyone's accounts. So I thought for sure they would never check on it. Do you have any idea of the charges I could face? I am the General Manager of a high end hotel and this could cause me to loose my job, if I am arrested at work!
