i CANNOT believe THEY (world financial network national bank) GOT my SS# from me without my name AND THEN got my name from my husband when he redialed the # i returned called earlier after he heard me stating my SS# and wanted to know why THEY even asked for my SS# after i said i was told to never give it to anyone over the phone. WE were the ones stupid, trusting, naive and oblivious enough to the DANGERS until THEY hung up on my 71 year old spouse who was just trying to find out if they would state that my SS# would be protected with them and not used for any fraudulant purpose. Of course, they would not make such a statement and then upset him by saying his ISSUE was with his wife (me) not THEM. Within the last 5 years he has had two major strokes and cranial surgery subsequent to an orange-sized bleed between the brain and skull and is in obvious DANGER if emotionally upset ... they did not know him nor i and did not care that their AGGRESSIVE comments could actually hurt someone physically!
His company allowed him access to the company cell phone while he is temporarily laid off to accept job search calls for additional income until May ... this is the number called by THEM and since four other people sometimes transfer their numbers to get messages i answered when it rang when he was indosposed and tried to understand for whom they wanted to leave a message. They said since i answered the phone they needed my SS# to rule out that i was not in their system. When my husband took the phone then, while i was GIVING AWAY my SS# (STUPID .. STUPID .. STUPID) they finally told him to give THEM my name to again rule out my being in their system. He gave them my name trusting that THEY were some kind of legitimate and legally responsible entity (which it seems that THEY ARE NOT by all the previous complaints about their AGGREGIOUS behaviour) and when THEY had my name to go with my SS# they started to upset my husband and HUNG UP on him which was very upsetting to the both of us when we were just trying to understand what and who they said they NEEDED to speak to ... so, NOW, i am afraid they will SELL or GIVE AWAY my SS# or some other revengeful act like use this information to add HARD to reverse FALSE CREDIT INFORMATION to all the credit bureaus to which they have an easy and legal access to add and change information on my or his accounts!!!!! WHAT can we do NOW before they permanently damage our 'end of life' retirement years which is when we will depend on GOOD CREDIT for medical needs when he is permanently 'out of work' which may be sooner than we want?
i know i am not a member of your debt rehabilitation services but we did not have any idea that we would ever need such a service to fix something with a "bank" that we never used or got credit through or even heard of before a stupid ??? maybe on purpose illegal phishing scam ... and do i NOW have to pay more money to fix this????? we are feeling hopeless ...

Well it's really sad to know about your husband's health condition. As far as the protection of SS# is concerned, you can take the help of identity theft monitoring service.

World Financial Network National Bank has been widely discussed previously. To know more about them, check out the following page:

CA's and 'Lawyer' offices (I use that word loosely..) will try to trick people into giving personal information. They will claim (personal experience here..) since the Consumer gave 'persoanl info over the phone, that they DID give permission for Ca's, etc. to 'sell' it to other CA's, etc. Really sad how these 'companies' prey on people.
