Information from PayDay Loan Companies
Date: Sat, 03/27/2010 - 00:28
How do I get information from the PayDay loan companies? The names that are appearing on my statement for withdrawls are not as I remember. The reason I am asking is because I believe I was scammed by unlicensed lenders but I moved during the process and don't know if I applied in IL or NC. Is there a way to get their phone numbers or something to find out the address they have on file for me?
The names appearing on my account are as follows (Yellodale and Manhattan sound right but the multiple times for any of them are a quandry  ) :
YELLOWDALE.COM (1 time in 1 day) :-|
Summit Group LLC (3 times in 1 day)
Namakan Capital (3 times in 1 day)
Manhattan Proces (2 times in 1 day)

Well Mary, in case of North Carolina, payday lending is considered illegal, so you don't owe anything extra other than the principal amount. But they may work as Credit Service Organization (CSO) and they don't require licensing as such, they just need to register with the Secretary of State. Moreover their fees are also not regulated according to the payday loan laws.
The following page will help you to deal with these illegal payday lenders better:

Where are you currently residing?
The payday lenders would have to follow the laws of the state where the loans had originated.
