Anyone getting this number? An officer Ian Bishop is calling me telling me harmful things maybe done to me and my family if I don't pay. I have read up on this number and it is a scam. I have reported it to the FTC. I am wondering if anyone else is getting the same calls. I am laughing at them. They have middle eastern accents and can't even say my name correctly. He claims I will be arrested at work tomorrow and I will lose my job.

Definitely they are one of those JDBs. Threatening someone with jail terms and pretending as a law enforcement official are violations of FDCPA.

this is part of a scam in INDIA,and more people than you know have been getting these calls.good move filing the FTC complaint,but also i would file a police report as well.after that do not speak to this loser again.they can't do a thing except call and stupidly threaten.

They called my mother and told her he was a doctor and it was urgent that I call him. My poor mother freaked out. I am currently 8 months pregnant and she thought something bad had happend. I told her if he calls again to call the police and hang up.
