OK, so I closed my checking acct (made it deposit only) and I do have another one but read that loanpoint / geneve roth will attatch on to that one. How do they do that when it is with a totally differnt bank and I did not give that info?

not that i disagree with you, shazzers because i am not 100% sure or anything and i know how knowledgeable you are :) but i think i have heard of that happen to some trustworthy members in the past.. i think someone said that they can get the new account number when the bank runs a chex system or something? I know it's totally illegal but i have heard of that happening, too.

A lot of people open the new account at the same bank. If it's Bank of America or Wells Fargo that's a huge problem. The lender can try to debit the old, closed account and the bank automatically transfers the debit to the new account. When you close your account to get out of your payday loan debts, you need to open the new one at a DIFFERENT bank. It's the only way to be safe.

Yes you're right, it rarely happens but it DOES happen.

Anyone know anything about the Greenlightfunds.com site? They assure me that they do not give out my info to any other lender since they do their own lending. I have been burned so much, but I need money in a hurry for rent and don't know what to do! I tried two payday advances in Florida, but I think they're connected cause they found out I already had one and denied it until I paid Amscot...please someone help.....
