What is the likelihood that these people will surface again to collect? There are 6 remaining. 2 storefronts, 1 legal, and 3 illegal.

There's a lot of bad stuff about PDL Assistance on the boards and most of the good stuff looks like it was made up by their employees. Best bet is to contact the stores and the legal lender and try to work out payment plans on your own.

Please don't think I am trying skip out on my debt. I have paid all of these lenders more than I originally borrowed. In some cases more than double.
Storefronts -
I took out a loan with Americash Loans for $1,000. When I total all debits to my account, I have paid them $2,190.
My loan with Check & Go was for $1,200 I went in every payday and gave them $289 to roll it over & leave them new checks. This went on for about 8 mo., which means I have paid them in the neighborhood of $5,000. None of that money went to principal.
The "illegal" internet ones were each for $300 to cover the $289 on the weeks I couldn't afford to pay them. These too (with the exception of 1) I have paid more than the original loan amount back.
Thanks for the feedback.

The unlicensed lenders will probably try to harass you but I doubt that anything will come of them. I'm not sure about the store front lenders though. Did you still owe the store front lenders anything? Honestly, I am surprised it's been a yr. and you haven't heard anything, I'm surprised they haven't turned them over to collections. Even if they do turn it over to a collection agency you will have some recourse, just make sure you come back here to the board as soon as (and if) you hear from a collection agency so we can guide you on how to deal with them. You sure paid them a lot of interest!
I guess if it were me, I would probably start sending them payments, no matter how small they would be, and I would use money orders to send payments via certified mail. Probably after they receive the first payment you'll hear from them and find out what's owed. I'm sure it's a dark cloud hanging over your head, so do what you feel comfortable doing so you won't need to worry about this all the time, and you don't someday answer a knock on the door only to discover you're being sued.
Another suggestion might be to send them an offer to pay off the debt, they may be willing to negotiate at this point.
