ameriloan in ohio

I had a pdl back in 2005..
i got a call today from Ameriloan stating that i owed $ 1115 to them -
i know way back when that this loan was paid off and redone a few times - but it was
definately paid -
if for some reason it was not - what are the laws on this -
i dont want to "not" pay something I owe -
I just dont know what the fees should and should not be allowed for in my state -
and does it matter that I live in Ohio - but apparently Ameriloan is not -
also this was an internet loan back then

AMERILOAN is MTE,and illegal no matter how you cut it.you only owe the principle borrowed nothing more.MTE d/b/a's love to try and collect staggering amounts on illegal loans my thoughts are if in doubt don't even talk to them.file AG and FTC complaints against them.everything you stated is right up their alley.you don't owe near 1115.00 on any loan of their's,and they can't do anything.

do i need to file wage revoke letter ?
i told them when they called to send me a complete statement for my review as nothing is owed on this -
they claimed to only be able to send a statment that shows the balance ( wth....)
do i need to let them know that I am filing a complaint with the AG etc ?
just dont know based on Ohio laws what are the allowed to charge me beyond principal if anything

being illegal they can't charge anything.they are lending illegaly so you only owe the principle.also good catch, give your employer the wage assignment revoke letter before sending to ameriloan.as far as informing them of the AG complaint.it's up to you,but being they are as low as it gets.they will keep acting stupid and illegal.file the complaints.then use your judgement.

They just hope you lost your bank statements so you can not back track and prove them wrong. Illegal PDL's can not sue you. Dont talk to them anymore either. The best thing to do with these companies keep your records for the rest of your life in a safe place. thats what I am doing and god help them if they try to collect on money i dont owe.
