$300 with United Cash Advance - paying $90 every 2 weeks since Sept.
$300 with SSM (Don't know how I got this one) - paying $90 every 2 weeks since Sept.
$500 with East Side Lenders - paying $150/check since December.

I spoke with my bank and they are relunctant to stop paying these, I think they are afraid I'm trying to get out of a legitimate loan payment. Can anyone help? I'm already into these loans for about 4 times what they loaned me and I need it to stop. I called my states (PA) Department of Banking and they basically said I'm screwed. They advised me to close my account at the bank but other than that didn't offer any advice.

For starters do not take no for an answer from your bank, Did you go in person and speak with them? I would print the state law that shows these loans are illegal and file complaints with BBB, Attorney Generals office and so on. Then I would take copies to the bank with you and show them that you are doing your part to prove they are illegal and you want your account frozen to deposits or closed. your Money will never be safe. and remember you have rights too. Be strong and hold your head up.

Internet PDL lending is illegal in PA as said by Shazzers, which is good news for you! This would mean that you are not obligated to pay anything but the Principle amount to these PDL places. Getting legal help in this situation will be a blessing. Contact your Attorney General if needed, and I'm sure it will work out. Just be firm and talk to these people.

there is no other option other than closing the account putting stop payments odes not work as they cane easily go into your account for a lower amount and get as much money as they can close your account or you may be over drawn very soon because of these pay day loans and lets not take them any more they are worth less and ruthless the last time i remember seeing on you tube how and old citizen was harassed to such an extent that she they even took her govt pension creating a new account is is worth it compared to the thousands you are going to loose on it

The problem with these IPDL's is that even if you put a block and Stop Payment on them, they frequently have several DBA's (Doing Business As Names) that they can use. So what this means is that if you stop one company name, all they have to do is switch to another one to get into your account. And that was also spot-on advice about just going to a lower amount to hit an account. I know, because it happened to me.
So if your bank won't help you and give you another account, the best thing for your sanity and your wallet is indeed to go to another bank. It will be annoying in the beginning, but trust me, you will sleep better at night knowing that you are indeed back in the driver's seat!
