CC companies calling work and family

AX and Chase have called my dad and my wife's boss. Is this legal? Should I send a C&D letter? What do I say?

Actually, it is legal if you put them down as references when you signed up for the cards, if they can't get in touch with you they will begin calling references you listed, and even your place of employment. Once you tell them not to call you at work they must stop, other than that they do have a right to try to get in touch with you if they can't at your home number.

What if I didn't put them down as references?
Do they have YOUR number? If not, they can call anyone they wan
Do they have YOUR number? If not, they can call anyone they want in an attempt to skip trace you down to make contact.
