I have been told by a settlement mgr that I will be sued. How can I avoid this? They refuse to settle with me

Well, creditors can sue you, but often its not a favoutire solution for them either. It involves time and money. Also, there can be issues on collecting the judgement.
However, if you want to avoid being sued by the creditor, you may have to accept their settlement offer (if any).
