I’m dealing with CPD right now for two loans. One loan is with PayDayMax and one is with Discount Advances. Both of which I have overpaid HUGE amounts to in the past two years.

I find it funny how the amount of the loan when I revoked ACH authorization is different from what they are demanding that I Western Union to them. It’s quite a bit lower. Which means they think I’ll fold and pay SOMETHING to them. I just keep sending them faxes (since my emails are returned) saying they are illegal and have broken the law and that I DEMAND a refund via Western Union. One letter for PDM and one letter for DA.

I got a pretty easy refund from National Cash Lenders. I’m trying one other company as well who I overpaid in the past, but that I don’t have a current loan with. It never hurts.

My question is…has anyone ever gotten a refund from CPD? I think I’m just going to keep harassing them since they are harassing me! I’ve reported them to the FTC already because even after I sent the C&D letter, they continued to call me. It seems the calls have stopped since I informed them of my report to the FTC though…for now anyway.

Any advice anyone can give to me would be great!
Thanks!

So, I spoke with CPD and they won't discuss my account with me since I took "legal action" by contacting the AGs office. I have to wait until the AGs office recommends a resolution. Has this ever happened to anyone?
The good news is, my bank account is closed and they haven't done anything that opened it back up, so no new fees. But they owe me some hefty refunds and I want to move forward.
Any advice?

I called again today (I'm not going away) and at first I was told that they weren't handling my accounts anymore. When I asked who was, I was put on hold. About 5 minutes later the woman came back on and advised me that they were still handling my account. She said she spoke with her "supervisor" and was told to advise me to call back in a couple of days to see if a decision had been made regarding my request.
I really hope that I get lucky and get a refund from these guys. They owe me so much money...I've overpaid by $3073!
