United Cash Loans $400
ACE Cash Services $300
I live in PA, and I DID apply for the $400 loan with UCL, and agreed to payback $90 each paycheck. Well that $90 turned into $140 ($90 + $50 charges each check). My current job situation changed, and so I became a lot more VIGILANT in my watching my money!! Well I noticed over 1 mos ago that UCL had been taking these $140 ACH debits twice a month for almost a year!!!!! Upon combing through my account info, I also noticed ACH debits from ACE Cash Services...a co I had NO idea about. ACE was taking random payments and at NO set time. So I called my bank and they put a block on my account while investigating all these issues. In the meantime I tried to call ACE Cash Svcs and the number is inactive...then they started calling me asking for me to set up payment arrangements? I informed them that I never applied for any LOAN with ACE Cash Svcs and that they had been taking $90 + $105 payments out of my account on days I don't even get PAID (for 6 mos)...so I want PROOF that I even requested this money! The rep hung up on me.
After reading this site, I wrote (copied) letters to BOTH loans companies (requesting verified docs, explaining PA's laws on finance charges, asked them to cease and desist in contacting me by phone but ONLY by mail, and gave them 30 days to respond before I would contact the Attorney Gen)...with no response. So I filed complaints on both with the BBB, and yesterday, these were the responses:
United Cash Loans: We recognize this complaint as a response to information circulating the Internet. This information is full of misleading and inaccurate statements. Unless this customer has a specific complain regarding the handling of their account, we do not believe a response is warranted. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
ACE Cash Services: This customer continues to send us some version of a 'form letter' circulating on the Internet and various internet forums. This letter and these forums are inaccurate and misleading. This customer went to the website (willingly)with the sole intent of receiving a loan. When that site could not fulfill her request, then her application was sent to us. We sent an email that day with all the terms and conditions, as well as her options for cancelling if the terms were not agreeable to her. Her account is currently in collections due to returns on her account. If she wishes to have a reduction in her balance, that is more than what the collection dept will offer, she needs to contact this department directly at: compliancedepartment@acecashservices.com, and we will be happy to assist her.
WHAT am I supposed to do now????? It seems as if BOTH companies is thumbing their nose at me about this! I responded to the BBB saying I am NOT satisfied and why. Please help...what steps should I take from here? Should I CONTINUE to send letters to both demanding answers or should I just go right to the Attorney Gen of PA?

Some unlicensed lenders don't give up too easily, they will threaten to take your first born if they think they can get money out of you. The idiots.

This subject causes a bag of mixed feelings. When we are truly down and out we accept the loans without a second thought. As soon as we can't pay them back we are at our wits end for a solution to how we can get out of the situation of having too many to pay back.
I didn't want to close my bank account but i had to because it was/is getting to the point that I don't have enough money to pay a bill. I will now however set up a pay arrangement with Magnum because i do owe them 196.00. The other two Ashland Lending and LLS (little loan shop) have charged me over and beyond what I borrowed so I will be sending them a letter.
Even if i didn't read the contract corretly there is no way I'm goin to give them thousands upon thousands of dollars when I only borrowed $300.00.
sorry but the douch'e above me and all the other rambling posts
sorry but the douch'e above me and all the other rambling posts are the biggest bunch of stupidity.i know you work for an illegal lender son.why?because any pdl has to have a license.in my state of IL pdl's are legal, but they must have a license and follow IL pdl laws.the internet pdl must adhere to the state laws of the borrower, not the lender.go lie on the phones drone.i'll have no more of it here as delibrate posting of misinformation is prohibited per TOS rules.why don't you research that instead.

You have to look out for number one, always.

Whew Paul, there for a minute I thought I was included among the idiots! Apparently not this time, at least. I STILL get the occasional call or recorded message from United Cash Loans. Don't talk to them though, as they keep insisting their laws prevail and my State govt., Attorney General, etc., are all wrong! If these outfits are legal and licensed, why do they need to hide on a reservation?

Loans are a tricky thing for everyone. We go to these places in times of need so we are desparate for any help we can get. Eastside Lenders wants over $1500 for a $300 loan... I'm sorry, but I will not feed your hunger for the almighty dollar anymore.
