A guy keeps calling saying you have been warned and advised to Call Check Solutions of America with a reference number when called they said it regarded a pay day loan which noone has any record and the bank acct number they have is not associated or even close to my acct number. I have requested proof of information provided which they said was over the internet which I did not do and just curious are they a real collection agency that will help if this turns out to be something that someone has done in my name without my knowledge. By the way the state is Alabama!! Is Pay Day licensed in Alabama?

Well I call & told them send me the paperwork so I could investigate however whoever the guy/recording keeps calling everyday like 2 or 3 times as well as cell phone, home, work and now I'm not sure how they got my in-laws cell phone but they have called & left the same message! Is there a law regarding harrassment or what can be done when I have called & done what the message has asked & this number is either blocked or shows unknown? Check solutions man said they can call whoever as many times as they want & he has wrong social security number & bank acct information but name work & adddress is correct. Any advice please help this is insane what they are doing regarding calling & saying! Thanks

If I were you, I would file a complaint with the FTC, BBB and your AG, then I would call my cell phone provider and tell them you are receiving threatening calls and would like you number changed, they will probably change it free since you have no control over who is calling you, plus all those calls are using up your minutes.

Check solutions is a real company. They are very highly respected in the field of debt collection and they will definately help you if you have been a victim of identity theft. You also have the option of paying the bill to restore your credit and then suing the person who used your information illegally.

These guys have been calling me at work, if you google check solutions of america you can find their website. They claim to be lawyers who offer litigation services, apparently they primarily cater to payday loan companies. There is a PDL that I owe, and I have attempted to work with them. The debt is legit, but at this point these guys have called me every single day claiming if I don't pay them immediately they are going to have the police come to my office and arrest me for check fraud. Apparently even though they're lawyers, they're not capable of checking the statutes for my state as it is illegal to charge someone with check fraud for a cash advance loan here. This has them in quite a pickle if I understand the fair credit laws correctly because not only is it illegal by my understanding to keep calling once I've told them to stop, it is illegal to claim you are going to take action unless you actually intend to take it. I'm currently considering looking into a fair credit attorney to take these guys to court as I have recorded phone messages literally stating that unless I pay immediately I'm going to be served papers for check fraud TODAY.How do these scams operate without being sued into oblivion? They all seem to be located in New York too for some reason.A few red flag for these scams - this guy called using a skype number, refused to say the name of the company he's calling on behalf of or who the debt originated from, and gives constant implications of being associated with the police (like saying 'this is officer james'). NO legitimate collection agency does these things.

I've had them call me. I had a debt with Titan group LLC, paid $900 on a $300 loan and now Check Solutions is telling me that I owe them $710 to close this up. WHen I first talked to them, they told me that they would work with the lender to see if it could be lowered then said that they bought the debt. They said that they will take me to court. Is this true? I have the proof of w/d's by titan group but they said that that might be from more than one loan. Only had loan. What should I do?

I have a pending complaint filed with Check Solutions of America with the State of Wisconsin.. DO NOT BELIEVE A WORD THEY SAY.. Joseph Anthony the "President" of the company called a third party (a female senior citizen none the less) about some "debt" I owed, which I know nothing about. He claimed if the "debt" was not paid in a two hour time period, a "judgment" would be issued against me, and provide a "docket" number. Needless to say, due to the actions of Mr. Anthony preying a senior citizen, she paid the "debt", but I found out the situation, and the payment was quickly reversed.. The State of Wisconsin is currently investigating this company...

I have known to work in the debt collection industry on the administrative side for over 5 years now. I have debt my self & know how the industry goes around. I always want to research my debts & call the original creditor to confirm who has my account & if they are legally allowed to. I have found out that Pay Day Loans which I think Check Solutions collects on don't have the original documentation because they are done online and forwarded between one or two other agencies. But if it is truthfully idenity theft you can regest a letter with all the information on the account gather everything, go to the police station to have the idenity theft reported, pay the debt with the agency at a low settlement & ask for a letter in return to go after the person that stole your idenity and then make more on the deal. The originial creditor is obligated to contact you by mail & phone with in a 30 day period after the debt goes bad (around 30 days or a bit longer) after that time frame it get's forwarded to a collection agency which is allowed to accure intrest if the original creditor has it writen in the terms & agreement. The only person who is allowed to request the original documentation is you the debtor & an atorney's office that may be persuing you. Now as I have heard Check Solutions is persuing legally & they will work with you but they always say then need some thing on file to hold the account. Being in collections I sugest that is actually a good barding tool. You may want to research collection firms and see if you can find out some of the same stuff I have by being in the industy.

Newt you know that they are repabale company when they return the funds regardless if they argued with you or not. You know most companies would have taken you to court & never would have reversed the funds. I know that when you have refrences taken out with with a debt the debtor would authorized communication in regards to the issue at hand & if some one voluntarlly wants to pay it who cares. I had a similar situation happen with my sister being listed as a refrence or point of contact to reach me on a past debt I had. But she wouldn't pay it to begin with because she is a stay at home mom living with my mom. So ... I would give em beneifit of the doubt

what kind of word is"repabale"?more pablum i guess.(sigh)btw anybody can stop payment or cancel a payment.that means nothing.a legit and reputable collector would take action.also if the person acted in the wrong in reversing payment a governing body wouldn't launch an investigation on said collector.this place does not deserve the "benefit of the doubt".they do deserve to be investigated.NUFF SAID!!!!!!!!!!
