hi, i will be filing bk by the middle of june 2010, i received a form from the small claims court here in ct. the law firm schiff for target. they gave me until may, 11 2010 to give a answer, i want to know, what can i do to put off the date, can i check the disagree box and ask for validation? i am hoping to get the date moved so i have a little more time to file.

Unless you understand how to represent yourself in court "pro se", you need an attorney. If, however, you are going to file chap 7 even if they are granted a default judgment it may be wiped out by the bk. Check with your attorney. State laws vary by your location.
