I have recenting found out that Check-N-Go has placed a 'closed' status (or something to this effect causing my recent home loan to be rejected because of this) on my credit report because of a past due amount that I owe them. Can they legally do this?

I had gotten a loan from them at one of their local shops. What can I do to get this off of my credit report? any suggestions?
Thanks

Check-N-Go is a payday loan usually, I've never known them to be a CSO but that doesn't mean they aren't, it also depends on what state you're in, but that's beside the point. You may ask Check-N-Go to remove it from your credit report if you pay it in full, ie. a pay for delete settlement offer.
