Though I'm not very sure if they would agree, but is certainly an option worth giving a try when you know that you do not qualify for debt consolidation and your bank is not stretching out their helping hand. You could also try with some companies that help with Debt Settlement program. There are lots of these companies that deal with PDLs. Before that please check if these PDLs are legal in your state. If they are illegal, then you are not obligated to pay them anything but the principle amount that you owe to them.

I wanted to say, I followed the steps like everyone on here told me and it has really helped. I had 6 pdl loans and now I'm down to only paying on 2. Both of the two that I still owe have worked with me (they were legal). Signmyloan was really easy to deal with. They even game me a refund of $391.00 that I had overpaid. Pdlnow.com is horrible to deal with. I'm still trying to give me a PIF status. Good luck!
