Same Scam, new name and number

I have received messages from 2 different voices, both claiming to be "officer Greg Nelson" from 323-319-2660. They are also claiming to be from Carlsmith Ball Law firm in Los Angeles, CA. While this law firm does exist, it is not them. Myself and my attorney have spoken with the real law firm and called the bogus number back. They won't take the call from my attorney and will take it from my cell if I hide my ID. They have also called my daughter in another state and left fraudulent information on her voice mall. About a month ago, this same voice called using the name Neil Thompson and the company Affidavit Consolidation Services. Laughably it was the same script word for word! I have transcripts and recordings of all calls and my attorney is vigorously pursuing them for violating not only FDCPA, but potentially Homeland Security as well. (Because the phone numbers keep changing and are located in various states.) We've filed with AGs in CA & NV and also with FTC. My attorney feels confident that she'll be able to catch them before they change phone numbers again.

I called the number at 7am PST and spoke with "officer Greg Nelson" (who only answered "hello") He stated that the "legal case" was from Cash America, whom I have never done business with. Cash America bought out CashNet USA, whom I have done business with and paid off over a year ago. Therefore, I'm assuming they've hacked CashNet USA/Cash America somehow. Wonder where the money goes that they are successful in collecting?

So heads up! And never give any info out over the phone.....
