Credit Union Personal Unsecured Debt

I have been settling debts with credit card companies. Two down and 3 to go.
In addition, I have a personal line of credit unsecured, at a Calif state chartered credit union. Does anyone have experience in settling debts with credit unions?

You have to call up and discuss the issue with the credit union.

As far my experience goes, credit unions are relatively stubborn than other creditors when it comes to settlement. They are less likely to accept less than full payment.
