After answering summons - what next?

After you answer a summons, does the court send you mail to notify you of a court date and if so - how long does it take? This is for Georgia.

I would check with the court clerk;s office every so often just to make sure that you can find out when anything happens. If something happens with your case, it must go in the docket, and you can check that with the clerk. Definitely keep on that, so that you are well-informed. And let us know what you find!
