Ok here is my question for you. I am unemployed for 1 have been since June 09 2nd my health is not that good but not good enough to get disability 3rd am restricted to working 20 hours a week if I could find a job is there any way to get these guys off your back because of this. The last collection agency left me alone for over a year and now these guys have the bill. I can't deal with this crap as this is what makes my illness worse because of all the harassing phone calls and never ending mail. I don't have the money and never will unless I'm dead. Please advise.

It's little difficult to get rid of these CAs if you really owe these accounts. Your best option is to pay them off. You can check out the 'DIY' section, which can help you in setting up payment plans with the collection agencies.

juneday, also having health issues so I fully understand the stress. Seems my only social life is the doctor office these days!!!
But the bill collectors don't care, so we must take care of our self!
Do you have the money to do a lump sum settlement?

I do have the money if my c-card would settle at 35% but they won't! So I met with a bk attorney this morning, not sure what to do at this point. For now going to let it ride until I see if we lose the house.
