I have a ton of NSFs because of these loans and have been reported to Chexsystems so I can't get another bank account and my bank won't give me a new account without reapplying (which I won't get because of the NSFs). I have reported the pdls with the BBB and the State AG (Pennsylvania). Please help, I am at my wits end. I get paid on Friday and don't think I can stop them in time. I am ready to jump off a bridge at this point. Someone please, any suggestions? |
you should be able to stop your direct deposit and get a live check unless your payroll is done a week in advance.also look up the EFT(electronic funds transfer act)if you did revoke the pdl's authorization.this bank can be severly penalized for ignoring a federal law.go to your payroll immediately and see about getting your direct deposit cancelled, and a live check for the time being.report your bank to the FDIC,and DFI.

Nothing short of amazing to see how much you have paid for those loans. This is criminal. Nancy, I worry for your financial health as they have stolen your money.
RE:Help
These companies are nothing but legal loan sharks and it angers me that they can do this but you are wrong in only 1 thing. You CAN get a new bank account. Wal-Marts have banks that have second chance accounts. I know because I have Woodforest a Wal-Mart bank becasue I actually ran into the same problem with a title loan (Never will do that again) Also when you get a new account go to this site DELETED...PM
I hope some of what I suggests helps

Thanks, I will let you know how things work out. I have typed a letter (found a copy of one on this site) that revokes authorization to debit/ cease, etc. and also copied the PA State Attorney General, BBB and FTC. Gave the PDLs 5 days to respond in writing, show me their ID numbers that say they are legal in PA (they aren't) and issue a refund for my overpayment and/or a letter stating I paid in full. I'm hoping something works, feel pretty desperate. I know it was my own stupid fault, being too naive, should have known that if it's too good to be true it probably is! BUT, these companies should be allowed to keep debiting the account week after week collecting 'fees' that go towards nothing. If it went towards the loan it would have been paid off months ago. Again, I'm faxing these letters tonight, I'll post an update when I have something more. Thanks to all who answered, it helps to know I'm not the only one who did something like this!
