Hi, I need to know how I can solve my issue regarding my debt that is now in colletions, can I do payments or can I just paid half of the total debt and be forgiven the balance

You need to pose that question to the creditor! Some will work with you! Just be polite and professional when you write to them! Make them an offer that is reasonable but leaves you some room for negotiation!

If you are in collections you need to discuss your payment options with your creditor/collection agency. They need to approve all offers to settle in order for your payment to count. You can negotiate to settle your debt for a smaller amount until the creditor/collection agency has taken you to court and gotten a judgment against you.
