As you requested, we will not call you and only communicate via the US Postal Service or email.
In the letter which I tweet that I got on this site cease and desist, revoking ach, do not contact reference, etc I said that I was willing to pay the principal if I had a correct address. They never sent me one however on the letter they sent which said I had 7 days to reply was dated on the 20th of this month but the post mark date on the envelope says the 22nd and it was stamped in FT Lauderdale Fl. I do not have 300 dollars to send them at one time due to the funeral arrangements that made me seek help in the first place. I can only pay $50 a month broken down into 25 per pay period. Now they said my balance is 450.00 and still growing. What do I need to do now? And are they telling me I agreed to be bound solely by the laws of the Tribe because I gave up my rights as a US citizen or something? Please help me with the next step today Please. The address on the letter is 5777 West Sunrise Blvd Plantation, FL 33313 (It is made by a rubber stamp with no company name on it).

That is a tricky situation. Those Indian Tribes have a lot more leeway due to Federal law. I have no clue how that intertwines with state law. Frankly, it sounds like they are willing to work with you because they agreed to just take $300 and to only communicate via mail per your request. I can't speak to your full legal rights, but these folks seem pretty honest. I'd find a way to pay them. Now, like you, I am concerned that maybe their letter is little weird. I wonder if they are just a low grade operation...
As a side note, I feel for the desperate nature of so many of these indebted borrowers. To not have $300 really speaks to the depth of the problem. This poor person wais backed into a corner to the degree that he/she would sign or say anything for cash. I had a friend who signed an agreement with an Indian casino just to get more cash to gamble. They ended up taking his home, his car, and his state championship baseball ring. It was a sad story because he ended up hanging himself.

That letter is bogus. No matter what they say about Native American status they are still ILLEGAL everywhere else. They can't do a thing to you. I am dealing with another company that is also claiming that status. All of these lenders are bound by the laws of the state in which the customer resides. For example, I live in FLorida. Our state laws require all lenderd to be licensed here. Most of these internet lenders aren't licensed anywhere. They have already broken the law. Additionally, Florida doesn't allow rollovers and puts a interest cap at 15% per $100 borrowed. They broke both of those laws. I told them (it's Ameriloan, BTW) that I've already paid my principle twice over just in fees alone, so I owe them nothing else. We have the law on our side! Stay strong!

These companies are not legit and take advantage of people in need. If they charged legal rates people would pay and they probably would make more $$$. I have spoken with an attorney and they ARE operating illegally.
I believe you are the ignorant one
