Call from Encore for Good Year credit card account

I received a call again today from a company called Encore Receivable Management, Inc. out of Olathe, KS. They have my Good Year credit card account. They claim they have sent me a letter, however, I have received nothing. I was told today they have no control over the mail and a collection letter was sent. She became very rude and said well you're problem if you didn't get it - good luck and hung up. What should I do not?

Send them a debt validation letter and a cease communication letter. Encore will harass and ring your phone off the wall. I have been through it with them and they break the law. Tape record all conversations with Encore.

Verify the address on which Encore sent the letter. If it was sent to the address that is entered incorrectly in their system, they must send you the details again.

Check the laws in your state before recording the phone calls. You might have to take the permission from the other party before recording it. Or else, you can do it secretly if the state laws don't insist on taking permission.
